This buttermilk biscuit mix is the perfect mix to have on hand when you have a craving for soft, buttery biscuts.  These are great for biscuits and gravy.  Add some cheddar and you make a nice cheddar biscuit.  Use the biscuit mix to make a great cobbler topping or for a pot pie.  This is a wonderful mix to have on hand.  It is easy to mix and make.  

Ingredients:  Bleached enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, enriched with niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), soybean oil, leavening (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate), dextrose, nonfat dry milk, salt, dried buttermilk, mono and diglycerides (emulsifier).

Contains:  Wheat, Dairy, and Soy.

*Because of the leavening in these in these mixes they may begin to expand. When you use the product it may require adding a small amount of baking powder to the mix. 

*No absorber is placed in the package as it reacts with the leavening.

Directions:   Add 2 cups of biscuit mix to 1/2 cup milk or water. Stir with a wooden spoon 1-2 minutes (30-50 strokes). Dough will have visible shortening lumps. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead 15 seconds. Roll out, fold in half once, turn one quarter turn, roll to desired thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. For drop biscuits, increase liquid to 2/3 cup. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes. Yields 12 biscuits.
