Enchilada Beans & Rice is a great tasting entree. This makes a delicious side dish and is ready quickly. This is easy to cook up so it is great for a great easy meal. This is a delicious addition to your food storage staples.
Ingredients: Long grain rice, whole pinto, enchilada sauce (red peppers, chicken broth, brown sugar, spices, food starch), rice flour, sugar, FD green peas, salt, less than 2% of: white onion, yeast extract, dehydrated tomato flakes, chili powder, cayenne pepper, turmeric, spice.
Packaged in a plant that handles milk, wheat, eggs, soy, and tree nut products.
Directions: Mix contents of can thoroughly before opening by shaking. After opening may need to stir dry ingredients before measuring. Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1/2 cup mix to boiling water, stir well. Boil for 4 minutes and reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until beans and rice are cooked to your personal liking. Stir often to avoid sticking. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Shelf Life: Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans, product may store up to 15-20 years
